PayTakeHome calculators use published tax rates, thresholds and contribution rules from government sources. Results are estimates and may not match an employer payroll calculation.

Assumptions and limitations

US: 2026 federal brackets and standard deduction, Social Security 6.2% up to $184,500, Medicare 1.45% plus 0.9% Additional Medicare over $200,000 ($250,000 married filing jointly). State tax uses simplified effective rates and zero for states without wage income tax. Credits and local taxes are ignored.

Canada: 2026 federal brackets (14% to 33%), federal basic personal amount of $16,452 (tapering to $14,829 at high incomes), 2026 provincial brackets and basic personal amounts, CPP (5.95% plus CPP2) and EI (1.63%; 1.30% in Quebec). Ontario surtax and Health Premium are included. Quebec uses CPP rates as an approximation of QPP, applies the 16.5% federal abatement, and other credits are not included.

UK: 2026/27 Income Tax with personal allowance taper above £100,000, Scottish six-band system, and employee Class 1 National Insurance (8% to £50,270, 2% above). Pension and student-loan deductions are not included.
